Hello everyone and welcome to the first episode of “How Thai people Greeting” I am your host,Puttipat Siwachairot and “The Wai” is a podcast that represent about Thai people greeting.I am today’s episode. I will represent about “The Wai” is pressed palms together of the chest inf a prayer when we pressed palms together in the old language that we call AN-CHA-LEE same meaning is Wai. There are 3 oisutuib ti show about “The Wai”

1.       Touch the thumbs of both hands to bow to the space between your eyebrows are means you respect the king, monk and spirit house.

2.       Touch the thumbs of both hands to bow to the space of your noise tip are means you respect Father, mother and relative.

3.       Touch the thumbs of both hands to bow to the Chin are means you respect friend to friend or the person who look like same age with you.

 “SA-WAS-DEE” is the word that we speak often with the wai as a greeting or farewell

Sawasdee is same meaning “How are you” you say in the day. Same as the way Thai people say sawasdee too. Today is time's up everyone. I have to say goodbye and see you next episode.
